September 29 Cracked Glass TutorialStart with your main image. Sponge in some color to age it if this is the effect you would like. It is just as pretty left plain without additional inking. September 25 Sweeter TreatersAn oldie but goodie, Sweeter Treaters
by Stampin' Up. I cased the layout and
color scheme from the cover of Creating
Keepsakes magazine of a scrapbook page. Easy Halloween cardI stamped the Brocade Basics on River Rock
cardstock in matching ink, stamped Carte
Postale swirl in Pumpkin on die cut jack-o-lantern
and background, added snaps (Making Memories),
mounted to Pumpkin Pie card base.
I got the new Sizzix Ghosts and Pumpkin dies
and will have to try them out, hopefully today.
September 24 Scraplovers Card ChallengeCheck out the card challenge found here:
The challenge is to make a card for girls only,
a Mom, sister, friend, daughter, etc. The second part
is to send it to someone special, just because. September 22 new A Muse goodiesI just got this adorable A Muse penguin
and had to try it out straight away. I'm
not sure why I pictured him stuck in an ice
block :-) September 14 Mall Inspired CardI went to the mall today and saw an outfit in a store display,
it might have been the Limited, I'm not sure. It was this same
color Houndstooth jacket with red and black accessories.
I thought it would make a cool card.
Jim ad I went to a new Chinese restaurant tonight and I
I saw a cool painting there of a dove and some cherry
blossoms. I think that one may be a bit harder to
re-produce. September 13 Suspension Card How ToStep 1.
Start with your standard card base and punch a circle in the front. I used a 1 3/8" punch, centered on card and went in as far as the punch would reach. Step 2: Punch out the same size (1 3/8") circle onto the second layer/panel of your card. Step 3:
Punch two slightly smaller circles using a 1 1/4" punch.
Step 4: Sandwich and adhere a piece of dental floss between the two circles Step 5:
Line it up to the second panel and adhere. Flip this panel over, line it up to card base and adhere.
Step 6:
Finish card as desired.
Thomas Kinkade stampsThis took a while to color, I used Prismacolor pencils.
I love the Thomas Kinkade paintings, his use of light is
so beautifully done and very hard to duplicate. September 06 Suspension CardThis will be one of the techniques shown on Sunday's
stamp club. It is very easy, a 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle
punch and dental floss were used to suspend the images.
Fast and fun! |
