    Sale-A-Bration combo

I used the new Friendship Blooms set and the
Love & Happiness rub-ons. They are SO cool,
I am going to stockpile as many as I can. There are
4 sheets, one each of black, white, olive, and chocolate.
    Yum.

    Basic Grey Two Scoops

Love this paper, I think I'll be needing more of this stuff
fairly soon. The image is an older one by PSX that had never
seen ink before today, colored in Copic markers.

    Elzybells

I have been wanting to put this Elzybells angel up in the clouds
so I made the "kick stand" part of the card a cloud. Paper is by
NRN designs, also used Ballet and Bashful Blue. I raided my
sewing trims box for the bit of real lace and added some dotted
    organdy ribbon.

    Suede look Western

To simulate the look of suede, I sponged Caramel ink onto Caramel cardstock.
I also used vanilla craft ink for emblems and paisley. All supplies are current
Stampin' Up. Love those jumbo eyelets which are a breeze to set with the Crop-A-Dile.

    Feminine Floral

This beautiful and romantic paper by Crafty Secrets
reminds me of old fashioned wall paper, this is from
the Radiant pack. It is all so pretty, I want to sit down
    and use it all up.
The dress is from Stampin' Up colored in Copic markers.
    Ribbon by May Arts.

    Color and Cat Challenge

I multi-tasked on this card. There was a challenge at Cococat's
to make a card with a cat. I used this image from Penny Black,
colored in Prismacolor pencils and Copic markers. The second
part of the challenge was from today over at SCS to use the colors
Banana, Wasabi, and Blue Bayou. I also used the Petals wheel,
Petals & Paisley? paper with SU brads.

For this I used Close To My Heart's More To Adore
paper pack and stamp set, Stampin' Up's Doodle This
and Doodle That stamp sets. For a wonderful step by step

    Prismacoloring

I really love my Prismacolor pencils, I think it was by far my
most worthwhile crafting investment. The stamps by Karen Lockhart
are perfect for using these. If you check out this link you will find a
wonderful tutorial and tips for coloring, shading, and blending.

I took a class by Karen last year and it was very informative. What I remember
taking away from this the most was to layer on the colors gradually, take your time
with the shading and blending. It is always easier to add a little bit more color if you need to.
And of course practice, practice, practice!

    Going For Baroque

This was for a challenge to do a blue card.
I used Basic Grey's Two Scoops paper,
everything else is current Stampin' Up, except
for Martha Stewart border punch which I really love.
It punches and embosses at the same time. Cool.

    10 Minute Project

I used an empty General Foods International Coffee can
and covered it with the new Ginger Blossoms paper by SU
trimmed in Groovy Guava stitched grosgrain ribbon. I cut a
flower out of the paper, added a Pretties Kit pearl and popped
it out on a dimensional. This paper is so fabulous, I am just about
through my first package and will be ordering another tomorrow!

    Crayon Resist

This was a multi-tasker challenge, one on the
demo forum for the crayon resist technique and
the other for the sketch layout found here:

I highlighted the blossoms in white crayon to look like cotton
and then brayered them in Soft Sky and Pretty in Pink.

    Post It Note Holder

I used a 4x6" acrylic frame and the new Embrace Life set with
the Ginger Blossoms paper. For the flower I colored it in Pretty
In Pink and then smushed it into the Regal Rose ink pad, highlighted
with white gel pen. I got a deal on these frames at our Fred Meyer,
buy 2 and get 1 free. I may go back tomorrow and stock up as these
make a nice little gift that is quick and easy.

New Year filled with many blessings.

    For a resolution...
I am really going to try to keep up with this blog
and stay current with new cards to upload and have
resolved to try at least one technique each week.
